William Frankenstein, Victor's brother, dies. Five days later, when Victor finds out that William died, is when Victor realizes the grave mistake he made by creating the 'Monster.' This event can be generalized as the 'turning point' of the novel, as it represents the start of a series of deaths committed by the 'Monster.'

Justine, William's maid, dies because of the monster.' However, this time, it was because the 'Monster' framed her; He hid evidence in Justine's pocket, which led her to be executed. At this point, Victor's hatred for the 'Monster' is amplified because he is responsible for the two deaths of his loved ones.

The 'Monster' kills Henry, Victor's best friend, causing Victor to feel immense guilt. This event solidifies to Victor that the 'Monster' will truly make his life awful.

The 'Monster' kills Elizabeth, laughs menacingly at Victor, and leaves him destroyed internally. Again, this shows that the 'Monster' is continuing to hurt Victor in every way possible to get revenge for killing what was supposed to be his (only) companion.

Following the death of his loved ones— including his father and Elizabeth— Victor seeks to take revenge at his family grave. The 'Monster' adds "fuel to the fire" by laughing at Victor, making him hate the 'Monster' even more. Victor follows the 'Monster' all around the world for vengeance; his determination shows the pure hatred Victor has for the Monster.

Victor passes away on Walton's ship before getting his revenge on the 'Monster'. When the 'Monster' hears/sees this, he wants to burn himself in a pyre because he felt that it's only right for him to die alongside his creator. This shows that the Monster's loyalty and companionship to/with Victor—showing that he is not as evil as we think.
