When Jaimito proposes to Dede, they find Lio hiding in his car. Lio gives Dede a letter he wants her to give to Minerva. However, since Dede is in love with Lio, she burns the letter. The letter also asked Minerva to run away with him, which gave Dede even more cause to burn the letter. Although burning the letter was done for bad reasons, it seems as if it would not have changed anything if Minerva did get the letter because she was not in love with Lio and would not have gone with him

Dedé had accidentally finds Fela's shrine of the girls one Friday in the shed behind the house. She ordered Fela to move the shrine. At this time it is very clear that Dedé is trapped in the past always remembering the death of her sisters.
